In the manual for the machine, it says when using the needle threader to turn the power off (!); to have the needle in the highest position and when it is hooked under the needle threader, to pull it in front of the needle and then the needle threader goes back and you make sure that it has grabbed the thread.

I just couldnt do it from this description. much as i love spotlight Julie R: Not really too helpful at all! you cant see the exact position you need to hook the tread into before you can automatically thread it.
